Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Gritvit mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Gritvit is operated by PG Meta Studios ("we," "us," "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Gritvit. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Account Registration

You must register using a valid email address and create a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

You may only maintain one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate accounts.

4. How Gritvit Works

Gritvit is a fitness community app. Users connect their health data (via Apple Health or Health Connect) to verify their fitness activity. After a 30-day onboarding period, users can discover and connect with other verified athletes.

• Fitness Score: A score from 0 to 100 calculated from your health data (workouts, steps, heart rate, and other signals).
• Trust Level: A badge (L1 to L5) indicating the verifiability of your fitness data.
• Connections: Athletes are shown to each other based on sports compatibility, fitness score proximity, and location. Both users must accept each other to connect.
• Messaging: Connected athletes can message each other within the App.

5. Health Data

Gritvit reads health and fitness data from Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android) solely to calculate your Fitness Score and Trust Level. We do not sell, share, or transfer your health data to any third party. You can revoke health data access at any time through your device settings.

Health data is processed locally on your device and as aggregated metrics stored in our database. We do not store raw health records on our servers.

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Gritvit service. We do not use, sell, license, or share your personal data or health data for advertising, marketing, analytics, data brokering, or any purpose other than operating this App.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Upload content that is offensive, sexually explicit, violent, or promotes hate
• Create fake profiles or use the App for spam
• Attempt to manipulate your Fitness Score or Trust Level through fraudulent data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App

7. Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio text). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of providing the service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

8. Reporting and Blocking

Users can report inappropriate behavior or block other users. We review reports and may take action including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans at our sole discretion.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Gritvit offers optional paid subscriptions (Premium and Elite) through in-app purchases managed by Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By purchasing a subscription:

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's subscription settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.

Pricing may vary by region and is displayed in the App before purchase.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, conversations, connections, and associated data from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of Fitness Scores or Trust Levels
• The identity, intentions, or behavior of other users
• Continuous, uninterrupted access to the App
• That you will find connections or training partners

You use the App and interact with other athletes at your own risk. We are not responsible for any interactions or relationships that result from using the App.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PG Meta Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or emotional distress.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PG Meta Studios from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Portugal.
