Gritvit ("we", "our", or "us") is a fitness-verified dating application operated by PG Meta Studios. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Gritvit app or website, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

a) Account Information

  • Name and display name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth (to verify minimum age)
  • Profile photos you upload
  • Sport preferences and bio

b) Fitness Data (Aggregated Only)

  • Workout frequency (how many sessions per week)
  • Workout duration (total minutes per session)
  • Activity type (run, lift, cycle, etc.)
  • Aggregated Trust Level and Fitness Score

We do not collect: raw heart rate data, GPS routes, step counts, sleep data, medical records, or any other detailed health metrics. This data never leaves your device.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To calculate your Trust Level and Fitness Score
  • To match you with compatible users based on fitness consistency
  • To send transactional notifications (match alerts, Trust Level updates)
  • To improve the app and detect abuse or fraud
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Health Data & Apple Health / Google Health Connect

Gritvit requests read-only access to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android) solely to verify workout activity. Processing happens locally on your device. Only the resulting aggregated scores — Trust Level and Fitness Score — are transmitted to our servers. We never upload raw health records, and we never share health-related data with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can revoke Gritvit's access to health data at any time through your device's Health settings without deleting your account.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Hosting, analytics, and payment processors who are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Other users: Your display name, photos, Trust Level, sport, and aggregated fitness indicators are visible to potential matches.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

9. Children

Gritvit is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Gritvit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
